Our Ministries
YFC accomplishes its mission with these local ministry programs.
Campus Life ministry combines healthy relationships with creative programs to help high school and middle school students make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools. Like every ministry of YFC, Campus Life seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
City Life helps young people in urban communities develop attitudes and behavior patterns that allow them to function more constructively in society. City Life teaches basic life skills, provides opportunities for relationships with caring adult role models, promotes and develops positive self-image through Jesus Christ, creates opportunities for positive peer group counseling, and shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
YFC Deaf Teen Quest is a part of the Campus Life outreach that is designed specifically to build life-changing relationships with deaf and hard of hearing students. Teams of caring Christian adults enter the world of Deaf teenagers with “fun, friendship, fellowship and faith.” YFC Deaf Teen Quest provides a healthy peer group environment with Christian role models to help Deaf teens develop a mature faith that makes a positive difference in the world.
At YFCamp, it is our desire to create an environment that invites God to transform the lives of young people through shared experiences, outdoor challenges, and times of solitude that draw students to the heart of God within the context of authentic relationships and memorable learning experiences.
Since 2004, we have seen thousands of young people's lives changed during an incredible week at one of our camps. That's why we say, this is "WHERE EVERYTHING CHANGES." We're confident that if you bring your kids to YFCamp this summer, you will see God work in their lives. Don't miss it.The YFC Youth Guidance ministry - through institutional, juvenile justice, or social service agency contacts - connects trained adults with young people to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation in life. Like every ministry of YFC, Youth Guidance seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as life-long followers of Jesus Christ.
YFC understands that creative alternative approaches are needed to reach at-risk youth, so Youth Guidance has taken on many forms to make an impact. Neighborhood clubs, youth centers, street work, tutoring, life-skills mentoring, counseling, and juvenile institutions are just some of the programs that YFC uses to help young people.
The YFC Teen Parents ministry connects trained adults with pregnant girls and teenage parents in programs designed to help them make good choices and establish a solid foundation, not only in their lives, but also in the lives of their babies.
Like every ministry of YFC, Teen Parents seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as life-long followers of Jesus Christ. The rate of pregnancy among American teens is almost twice that of British and nearly four times that of French teenagers (Singh and Darroch, 2000). We must come along side them and assist them to become the best moms and dads that they can be.
